waste to energy

We help you convert waste to green energy in the form of renewable gas, power or heat.

Nuoro can offer you:

Anaerobic digestion

Anaerobic processes are considered an environmentally friendly option for waste management and for wastewater treatment. Essentially, organic waste or high-strength wastewater is biologically converted into bio-methane, a valuable renewable fuel. This biochemical process takes place in specially designed bioreactors. The ‘anaerobic advantage’ is three-fold: clean energy is produced and organic waste is eliminated, while the operational costs for electricity and waste sludge disposal remain minimal.

Circular economy

Whether it’s wastewater with organic contaminants, or solid organic waste, the mission doesn’t stop after harnessing green energy. The end-product of an anaerobic reactor can always be valorised in a circular mindset by applying the adequate technologies. In the case of industrial wastewater, the anaerobically treated water can be treated further for environmentally friendly discharge or reuse. Solid organic waste, after anaerobic digestion, is composted and returned to the soil as a nutrient-rich fertilizer.

"When prevention, recycling, and reuse have been maximalized, waste-to-energy becomes the ultimate solution"
